On the 8th of June, at the Ibiza Polo Club , the British company Ibiza Delivers will organize the first Ibiza Charity Polo Cup 2013.
On a sporting level, the Ibiza Polo Club, through Gabriel Iglesias, President, Polo Manager of the Club, and ex-professional polo player, has included ex-England polo Captain, and founder of Polo Fix, in the organization of the event and constitution of the teams.
Players have confirmed their presence. The Ibiza Charity Polo Cup will be set at 16 goals and count on the presence of the following professional players: Nic Roldan (USA, 8). Alejandro Novillo Astrada (Argentina, 8), Juan Ambroggio (Argentina, 7), and Gaston Laulhé (Argentina, 7). Teams will be completed by Anoushka Bahlsen (Germany, 0), Jaime Espinosa de los Monteros (Spain, 1), Adriano Agosti (Switzerland, 0), and Roman Fortunato (Argentina, 0).
The Ibiza Polo Club will open its doors to the public at 5 pm. After the game and the award ceremony, a charity auction will take place with the support of the event’s sponsor, in favour of the AECC.

The IBIZA POLO CLUB announces the official sponsorship of the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre for the 2013 Polo season in the island.
Jaeger-LeCoultre and the IBIZA POLO CLUB have worked together in the past, and will do so again this year throughout the tournaments season of the Club between May and December 2013.
This official collaboration also marks the return of Jaeger-LeCoultre, after a few years of silence, as an active player of Spain’s polo scene, and sets on solid grounds the 2013 polo season of the IBIZA POLO CLUB, recently founded by the hand of 30 years Argentinian professional polo player, Gabriel Iglesias.
After 4 years organizing polo games in Ibiza, Gabriel Iglesias established the Club in 2011 to answer the increasing demand of game in the island. 2013 will be an especially consistent year of tournaments for the IBIZA POLO CLUB, and being able to count on the support of a brand as Jaeger-LeCoultre is great for the Club and for the players who will attend the tournaments this year.
The waiting period for the 1st international tournament of the year, the European Ladies Championship 2013, which will be held between May 1st and 5th, has started.
Meanwhile, the IBIZA POLO CLUB is open for classes, stick & ball, and chukkers.
With a shinning sun the final was played between the TOM TAILOR IBIZA POLO TEAM and the SASPOL MILANO POLO TEAM. The game was tight and the scoreboard rest balanced almost all the macht. Finally, in the last minute, the Italian Team reached the winner´s cup.

On a sunny saturday morning in September Rosella Rendino Escuero (11 years old) and Jordi Planells (15 years old) were in the polo green field having their polo lessons with their teacher Matías Iglesias.
Rosella begun her classes a few weeks ago, very excited by the idea of learning to ride a horse and the challenge to “hit the ball”; the ability and skill that polo requires. She put effort in every saturday to learn the technique and precision to play polo. Every morning this girl follows a strict routine; dressing up appropriately and riding her horse to begin her polo lessons. Rosella practices her movements and passes with discipline. Strength and precision are a must when riding a horse to hit a ball when you play polo. She is making the best of it!
Jordi carries a great passion for polo. For teenagers polo is a greater challenge and they can shine due to it’s requirements to develop courage, skills and strengths. Jordi has been training hard, conscious about the discipline and strategy that polo requires to be a good player. This kid has already participated in some tournaments in the arena court and has showed his determination and dexterity to play a polo game.
From the IBIZA POLO CLUB we would like to invite everybody to participate in the school and practice this passionate discipline. Not only requiring fitness training but also mental. No wonder it’s called the sports of kings.
